Album of the British rock and country singer and actor Mike Berry (born 1942) from 1972, not yet released on CD. Berry had become known since the late 50s as the British Buddy Holly. In addition to the title song there are other popular country and pop songs from those days such as 'Take Me Home Country Road' and laid-back interpretations of songs by the Bee Gees, Jesse Winchester, The Band, John D. Loudermilk and others.

Mike Berry

Der englische Sänger Michael Bourne (= Mike Berry) hat sich mit der musikalischen Verbeugung vor der Rock 'n' Roll-Legende Buddy Holly 1961 selbst ein Denkmal gesetzt. In seiner Begleitband (The Outlaws) stand Anfang der Sechziger ein gewisser Ritchie Blackmore, Jahre später der Heavy-Gitarrist von Deep Purple.

Als 1964 der Beat-Boom alles veränderte, schien Berrys Karriere beendet. Er arbeitete unter anderem als TV-Schauspieler, kehrte aber 1980/81 überraschend mit gleich drei Hits für Polydor ins Rampenlicht zurück.
