The Knoxville Sessions continue the fine production of the previously released "The Bristol Sessions" and "The Johnson City Sessions." Tony Russell and Ted Olson continue their wonderful teamwork in producing the exceptional books that accompany the 4 cds in each set. They provide a good history and background about the sessions and the photographs included are reproduced in excellent quality. The book is also full of data around when the recordings were made. The sound quality of these old 78 recordings is also quite outstanding, if anything, it exceeds the quality of the first two "Sessions" recordings. This is a top-notch effort by all involved and I recommend it to lovers of early country and old time folk music without reservation.
