Alabama Mike – Hip You To My Blues is a powerful 2019 blues album released on Bigtone Records. Across 15 tracks, Alabama Mike explores traditional electric blues with a raw, direct approach inspired by the pioneers of early electric blues. He is joined by an impressive group of musicians, including Kim Wilson on harmonica and Big Jon Atkinson, Danny Michel and Niko Hernandez on guitar. The tracklist features Black Cadillac, California Blues, Frustrate My Life, 20% Alcohol, Diabetic Man, Cut That Down, How You Want Your Rollin’ Done, V-8 Ford Blues and the title track Hip You To My Blues. Keep My Grave Clean also connects the album with the repertoire of Blind Lemon Jefferson.
