Zwei-Mann-Kapelle: Trip To Louisiana (CD)
The second CD of the two-man band is an imaginary-acoustic tour through the southern states of the USA. Once again we have followed our mission to revert to the musical origins of the instruments washboard & accordion and to pack them into the unmistakable, own music style of the two-man band.
For cost reasons we opted for a low budget solution, did not book airline tickets and did not have to apply for visas or passport extensions. Instead, we packed our bags full of songs and instrumentals and did our own field research. In August 2010 we rented Antek's studio and spent sultry, hot days under the roof in the swamps of East Westphalia.
The rest of our CD was recorded in spring 2011 and seasoned with Cajun & Zydeco spices. We wish all listeners a pleasant 'Trip to Louisiana' and a lot of fun listening...

The two-man band was discovered in 2007 during a casting in Hanover for the GOP Varieté-Theater. The two musicians played themselves into the hearts of the audience for eight weeks during the winter variety "lafolie" in the Orangery in Herrenhausen. Since then followed over 300 shows in Munich, Essen, Bad Oeynhausen and Münster.
After this tour both musicians worked on a new program. They discovered Louisiana songs and traditional songs, with English and French lyrics, as well as blues classics and instrumentals, and packed them into the unmistakable, unique musical style of the two-man band. The result is the second CD "Trip to Louisiana".
Andreas Prante plays accordion with unleashed virtuosity. As a keyboard wonder, he masters his instrument and is always astonished with his digitally played midi bass. His instrument is bass, harmony, melody and solo instrument at the same time. A wooden case that has been converted into a small "pig organ with celesta sound" is a further component of the instruments.
Wolfgang Voss works his unique percussion with sensual precision, which he has equipped with cymbals, temple blocks, cow bells and various fur drums. As a real washboard specialist, he has remained professionally faithful to this instrument for over 2o years. With its XXL washboard, it not only ensures the rhythm of the duo, but also an original visual delight.
Together they create their very special, bizarre musical world. Cajun and Zydeco, Swing and Blues, Musette and world music belong to the musical hodgepodge of the two-man band. Let yourself be enchanted by the charm of this music, which not only goes into your legs...
