Sensational classic - 50th Anniversary
With "Over-Nite Sensation", one of the absolute classics in Frank Zappa's rich catalog celebrates its 50th birthday this year.

Thanks to its rocking orientation and clear songs, the album became the introduction to the Zappa world for many fans. Here the musical direction of "The Mothers" changed, as Frank took over most of the vocals and was the only guitarist. It was a new band and a new sound, but it didn't scare away the "old" Zappa fans. As a result, "Over-Nite Sensation" became the band's first real hit album in the USA, entered the charts and was finally awarded a gold record in 1976.

Even 50 years later, the album is still one of the highlights in the Zappa catalog and an absolute perennial favorite with fans.

The "50th Anniversary" edition is released on 2LP 180 gram black audiophile vinyl. It was cut by Chris Bellman at Bernie Grundman Mastering in 2023 at 45rpm from the original analog tape. The vinyl edition includes a bonus 24 "x12" poster with the complete cover.
