"Land ho!" is what blues legend Nick Woodland has called his new album. It is his tenth, so an anniversary, and quickly spreads when listening to the 13 numbers corresponding mood of celebration. Here someone celebrates life, quite clearly, here is called after Pandemic and Lockdown to turn to the beautiful, positive and fruitful, despite everything, despite new worries, because that's what art is also about: to dive temporarily into better worlds or, as in this case, to set sail together and travel the musical oceans. Nick Woodland sets sail and surprises us with every new turn of the wheel. Although his specialty, the blues, can be heard everywhere, the islands that are headed for are mainly called pop, folk and country.
