"Sayin What I'm Thinkin" is the third studio album by the country singer from Baskin in Louisiana, who now lives in Nashville.

Lainey Wilson describes her music as "bell bottom country". "Country with a twist," she explains, "fresh, but also familiar." Each song combines vivid country stories with strong female characters, as can be heard in the deeply confessional title track "Sayin' What I'm Thinkin'". It's no surprise that Wilson's music stems from her own life and the way she was raised with strong family values.

"I was raised to do what you want. I'm very strong-willed and I'm one of those people who doesn't give up no matter what. A lot of my values and the reason why I am the way I am come from my parents," she says, talking about the strong work ethic of her father, who was a farmer. "I get up and not every day is the same, but it's what I do. It's what I love. It's my life. It's really one of the only things I know how to do ... If you have a gift, you have to use it."

"As artists, we're there to create something that everyone can relate to, or create something that makes people feel something at the end of the day," she continues. "When I listen to music, whether it makes me laugh or cry, I just want to feel something. ... If I can bring light to the darkness in any way, then I should."

In her own words, Lainey Wilson promises to continue "Sayin' What I'm Thinkin'".
