Music from Love & Mercy' is the soundtrack to the critically acclaimed biopic about the life of Beach Boys legend Brian Wilson. The album combines soundtrack and score, as the film music composed by Atticus Ross can also be found on the record.

The musician, who is known for his work with Trent Reznor (Nine Inch Nails) and director David Fincher, among others, incorporated fragments of numerous Beach Boys classics into his songs. Brian Wilson, who released his 11th studio album 'No Pier Pressure' in 2015, wrote the thought-provoking 'One Kind Of Love' especially for the film biography. The 73-year-old is also represented on Love & Mercy with a live version of the song of the same name. Don't Worry Baby, Good Vibrations and God Only Knows are three songs by the Beach Boys on the soundtrack.

A particular highlight is the 'God Only Knows' cover by Paul Dano, who plays the young Brian Wilson in the film. It is not only his acting talent that deserves great praise - the 31-year-old also impresses as a singer.
