Whiskey Myers: Firewater (2-LP)

(Wiggy Thumb) 12 tracks

Their debut album, Road Of Life, established the guys from Whiskey Myers as worthy heirs to Lynyrd Skynyrd's working-class folk tradition. Their sinewy sound and intense musical interplay worked perfectly in concert, and soon they had a string of live dates lined up in Texas, Oklahoma, and New Mexico. Since September 2009, they have been touring Texas and Oklahoma, as well as the Midwest and Southeast.

The band's second release, “Firewater,” cemented Whiskey Myers' reputation as a genre-bending rough diamond whose music attracted the attention of fans and critics alike. Produced by Leroy Powell, former guitarist for Shooter Jennings, and recorded at the famous Panhandle House in Denton, TX.
