(1998 'Music Maker') (47:50/12) Von 1958-66 arbeitete die Gitarristin in der Band von Piano Red, spielte danach in verschiedenen R&B- und Jazz-Combos, bevor sie sich aus dem Musikbusiness zurückzog und eine Familie gründete. Im Alter von 58 Jahren kehrt sie auf die Szene zurück und ist eine der wenigen Bluesfrauen, die Gitarre als Leadinstrument mit viel Showtalent einsetzen. Produziert von Mike Vernon entstand ein spannendes und kurzweiliges Album, das hervorragend in diese Serie passt / she used to be Piano Red's guitar player, joined various jazz and r&b groups later, founded a family, and is now back in business. She's one of only a few black women in blues playing lead guitar. And she's good! Entertaining album produced by Mike Vernon.
