Teen Town USA Vol. 11 is a 30-track compilation devoted to rare American recordings from the teen sound, rock'n'roll and pop scene of the 1950s and early 1960s. Released on the Yeaah! label, it forms part of a series dedicated to lesser-known recordings from this period. The volume features artists including Four Playboys, Vic Wilder, Wally Wiggins, T-Shirts, Bobby Lee, Pals, Freddy Owens, Danny Wilson, Joe Melson, Lou Tray and Rod Willis. Among the titles are Stay With Me, My Love For You, Habit Of Lovin' You, How Much, Sugar Love, My Baby Likes To Rock, Bye Bye Baby, Darling, Hey Mr Cupid and Somebody's Been Rocking My Baby. The emphasis is firmly on discoveries rather than the biggest names of the era, making this volume especially appealing to collectors of obscure American teen records and early rock'n'roll. Teen Town USA Vol. 11 is a rewarding addition for anyone interested in digging deeper into the lesser-known side of 1950s and early-60s American music.
