Various - Schlager: Das alte Försterhaus

Of people, foresters and the dense forest...

Man has entered his life on earth as a hunter. Even before he could dress, make music, philosophize or even drive a car, in these early times he first had to try to get enough without a supermarket and fast food chains.

So that meant taking the heavy stone or the broken off thick branch out of the cave, and then - look what you can hunt there. And this primal instinct has probably also been preserved in the gentlemen who today head for the trendy place of hunting, dressed in traditional green with a guild hat.

This is one picture, on the other hand, the interest in hunting today also requires a long, careful training and a close contact with nature. A hunter must be able to recognize and interpret all signs of nature.

And now the third picture: the forest as a dream image. Those who want to escape from everyday life, from the hectic pace and the increasingly unbearable traffic noise, flee in their imagination into the dense forests, where there are dewdrops and sunrays that fall through the tops of the trees onto the mossy soil. The many streams murmur and rush, deer graze in the clearings. And the forester's house has been visible from afar for generations. Light smoke rises from the fireplace, the pretty daughter prepares the evening meal from game specialities and the fresh mushrooms of the forest.

The forester sits on the bench in front of his house, the faithful dog at his feet. He smokes his pipe and enjoys the magical colours of the slowly setting sun. Romantic tranquillity? Far from it, here too one encounters the great feelings that are connected with love and jealousy, dangers and loyalty. Here there is the young forester and the poacher fighting for the love of the forester's daughter, here there is the struggle between the anarchy that the wild gunman personifies and the eternal principles of law and order that the old forester represents. A fight that can cost lives under the shadow of ancient trees... Experiences that an employee in pay grade 4 may only have in his dreams.
