Since the '60s, the legendary Brunswick label has released the crème de la crème of Chicago soul, featuring the hits of Jackie Wilson and The Chi Lites. But beyond that, they have some of soul's greatest and most influential rarities, and this compilation brings the best of them.

There are classics here that defined the genre, such as the Adam's Apples with their "Don't Take It Out On This World," Marvin Smith with "Have More Time," Leroy Taylor with "Oh Linda" and, of course, Jackie Wilson's opener "The Who Who Song." Plus newer discoveries like Tony Drake's spectacular "Suddenly," Channel 3's "The Sweetest Thing," Billy Butler's pounding George Clinton-penned "I'll Bet You," and Jackie again with "Because Of You."

In between, rare recordings by The Artistics, Gene Chandler, Jackie Ross and others. Pressed on black vinyl with new artwork and printed inner sleeve.
