For 25 years, the Blue Grass Boogiemen have stood for the best that the Netherlands has to offer in terms of authentic roots music. It's no coincidence that they have been nicknamed “the ambassadors of bluegrass.”
For this album, the Boogiemen invited various well-known Dutch colleagues to “bluegrassify” one of their own songs. The result is an impressive and eclectic list of guest singers, including Freek de Jonge, Tim Knol, Ernst Jansz, Bennie Jolink, Blaudzun, and Dave von Raven. One song was selected from each of these artists and reworked in the inimitable Boogiemen style, with extremely exciting results.
