Ornella Vanoni was born in Milan on 22.11.1934. After her acting training, she made her debut in the stage play I Giacobini. In 1958 she released her first single record. With the help of Gino Paoli, Ornella Vanoni found her musical style. The first hit she had with the help of Gino Paoli was Senza fine, one of her greatest successes.

From now on Ornella Vanoni was a regular in the Italian charts. She interpreted songs by authors such as Domenico Modugno, Gino Paoli or Luigi Tenco. Ornella Vanoni participated several times in the Sanremo Festival and in the Festival di Napoli.

In the 70's she had many great successes that made her known also abroad. In 1985 she resumed the collaboration with Paoli, released a new album with him and went on tour. In 1993 Ornella Vanoni was awarded the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic. On this CD you can find her first great successes from 1958 to 1962.
