When you talk about blues, and Piedmont blues legends in particular, you inevitably mention blind harpist Sonny Terry (born in Greenboro, N.Carolina) and guitarist Brownie McGee (Knoxville, Tennessee).
Together they have influenced countless budding exponents of the folk-blues genre over the past sixty-plus years, with the duo playing a major role in the various folk-blues revivals during that time.

The duo was recorded live at the famous Ash Grove in Hollywood in 1973
Piercing blasts on harmonica, chugging guitar instruments coupled with real “blue-collar” vocals and stories to match are a must for your listening pleasure; and they're not just for devotees of the genre, but for anyone with “catholic” taste in music.
