One of the lesser known players from Chicago. Rob's a great harmonica player in the Little Walter/Big Walter tradition. I like his fat tone and his excellent phrasing. As a vocalist he is doing okay, but he's not my favorite singer. The backing is superb. Especially guitarist Chris James is playing a mean axe. Traditional style blues, young at age, and performed with energy and joy. Recommended. ROB STONE - hca/voc, CHRIS JAMES - gtr, DAVID MAXWELL - pno, PATRICK RYAN - bass, WILLIE HAYES - drums, etc.
