The Spencer Davis Group, live at the Helsinki Culture House, Finland in February 1967.

By early 1967, the Spencer Davis Group was firmly established as one of Britain's biggest bands, but 18-year-old Steve Winwood was getting restless. That February they toured Scandinavia and on February 27 played this electrifying set for the Finnish television program Valmiina Pyörii (Ready... To Spin!). Recorded in a Helsinki studio and broadcast by Finnish broadcaster YLE, the set brilliantly combines originals, standards and their immortal hits, and doesn't suggest that it was one of Winwood's last performances with the band. We present it here along with background information and pictures.
