In 1967, Nancy Sinatra continued her artistic ascent into the pop stratosphere with the James Bond theme song “You Only Live Twice”, the groovy Technicolor television special “Movin' With Nancy”, the recording of one of the most popular duets of all time, “Some Velvet Morning”, and a nationwide pilgrimage to the center of the country music scene. Nancy traveled to Nashville to record her fifth album at RCA Studios, where many of the greatest country songs of all time were recorded. On Country, My Way, Nancy blends her own personal style with country music, resulting in a new hybrid sound. Producer Lee Hazlewood called it “hippie-billy”. While many people take credit for pioneering the contemporary country sound, as with many 1960s milestones, Nancy was one of the first. Nancy Sinatra was way ahead of her time both in her role as an artist and as a businesswoman - strong, sensual and smart all at the same time. From an early age, she unwaveringly went her own way and paved the way for subsequent female artists - while always maintaining control over her career, her image and her music. In 1965, Nancy Sinatra changed the music, fashion and cultural scene.
