Excellent third solo album from this talented guitarist from Des Plaines, Illinois, featuring 13 songs of top-notch, dynamic, challenging, heavy guitar rock music with a high level of impressive six-string creativity. Predominantly an instrumental guitar disc, it is augmented by a couple of vocal tracks, including a fantastic, reworked version of Crossroads and an epic song entitled Celestial Voice, dedicated to Neil Peart. With all the moving parts together, Astral Cafe is a great follow-up to the killer 21st Century Riffology album.
