The tremendous response to our recent recording of the Route 66 Theme (for which, incidentally, I am very grate-ful) furnished the idea for this album. And since you seem to be in favor of this type of music, we have tried to han-dle every one of the familiar themes in this collection in pretty much the same driving, dramatic style. The shows represented here really run the gamut of top TV entertainment.

Side by side with the current medical drama favorites Ben Casey and Dr. Kil-dare are such situation comedies as the delightful Andy Griffith Show. For the sake of variety we've included the themes from Sing Along with Mitch and the Steve Allen Show, plus two more compositions of my own...one from the award-winning The Untouchables and the other from the fine new series, Sam Benedict. We've tried to arrange them all in a manner we think you'll enjoy, getting an up-to-the-minute sound that viewers everywhere have learned to identify with this most modern of entertainment media.

 Of course, many of your favorite themes (and mine) had to be omitted from this collection, simply because there is such an abundance of good ones to choose from. In my opinion, however, the tunes assembled here offer a fine sampling of the exciting contemporary sound of TV. I sincerely hope you enjoy them.
