Very true to the original, the quintet from Vänersborg devotes itself to the rockabilly and rock'n'roll of the late 50s, when the music opened up more broadly and fused with the teen sound and vocal group style. And this is where the Spaniards come in: THE VELVET CANDLES, the doo-wop quintet from Barcelona, support the BASHTONES on some of the 'Find Another Fool' songs with their polyphonic choirs, while lead singer ELLIE sets her accents in a style-conscious and striking way.
Together with the authentic vintage production, this results in a very idiosyncratic album with the late fifties vibe that is otherwise almost only offered by RAY ALLEN in contemporary top form.
