The Psychonauts have been shaking up every room with their very own “Hoochie Coochie Trash'a'Billy” sound since fall 2009.
Their explosive mixture of 50's rockabilly, 60's garage trash, 70's punk and 80's psychobilly sounds as if it comes “from outer space”. In fact, The Psychonauts come from Basel (CH) and named themselves after the patients of Basel LSD discoverer Albert Hofmann.
Soon after the band was founded, the trio played together with psychobilly legends such as The Meteors, Demented Are Go, Mad Sin, The Frantic Flintstones and many others.
Tremendous T. (vox/guitar), Caruso (bass) and Oily (drums) have all been active in the scene for many years and know what they are doing. Their live program is correspondingly convincing, consisting mainly of original compositions and complemented by a few cover versions of rockabilly classics - interpreted in their own unique style.
From the very first second, The Psychonauts unleash their groovy, gravy “Hoochie Coochie Trash'a'Billy Stomp” on the audience, true to the motto:
“Wreck it and shake it up!”
