50+ Years of Soul by Billy Price is a 3-CD compilation of tracks Price selected from recordings throughout his career as a singer, engineer, songwriter and bandleader. Price first appeared on the scene in the early 1970s, singing with guitarist Roy Buchanan on two albums for Polydor Records, That's What I'm Here For and Live Stock. Since then, Price has released 20 albums, CDs and DVDs with Billy Price and the Keystone Rhythm Band, the Billy Price Band and collaborators Otis Clay and Fred Chapellier, as well as solo recordings under his own name. This compilation on GetHip Recordings includes extensive photos and liner notes written by Price detailing the selections and reflecting on his career from 1971 to the present.
