Relentless is the 12th studio album of the English-American rock band.

. It is the second album after 'Hate for Sale' (2020) that Chrissie Hynde and guitarist James Walbourne wrote together remotely.

Chrissie Hynde talked about the songwriting process between Hynde and Walbourne: 'We had developed this method of working remotely, and it seemed like we just kept it for this album. It's something we've refined into an art form over the last few years. He always comes up with something I wouldn't have thought of myself, and I love surprises.'

Produced by David Wrench and recorded at Battery Studios in west London, the album's 12 tracks feature what Chrissie calls 'The Pretenders Collective'. This extended band includes James Walbourne (guitars), Kris Sonne (drums), Chris Hill (double bass), Dave Page (bass) and Carwyn Ellis (keyboards and guitars).

RELENTLESS also features a long hoped for collaboration with esteemed composer Jonny Greenwood (Radiohead, The Smile) who contributes the string arrangements and conducts the 12 ensemble for the beautiful closing track 'I Think About You Daily'.
