"An Evening with Elvis' Friends and Original Musicians" has taken Europe by storm in recent years. Produced by Arjan Deelen, the production focuses on the music and art of Elvis Presley. The lead singer is the hugely popular Dwight Icenhower, who sings Elvis' hits and lesser-known popular songs with great verve. He is backed by a strong band that includes several of the original Elvis band members. Dwight breathes new life into the King's music in what many consider to be the hottest and most rocking Elvis show ever - - - - - - - - - - -.
One of the big surprises of this tour was the return of Bob Lanning, who played drums for Elvis on 63 shows in 1970. You can hear Bob on classic Elvis songs like "The Wonder Of You" and "Polk Salad Annie". For many years Bob's whereabouts were completely unknown, but Deelen was able to track him down and brought him to Europe for this tour. The first set on this DVD is essentially a repeat of one of the shows Bob did with Elvis in February 1970.
