In 2022 Popa Chubby returns as 'Emotional Gangster'. Although he doesn't leave out his special anger, which is in a way his trademark, on the twelve-song album, he also shows an unusually gentle and personal side, for example in the song 'Fly Away', which tells of a father who sees his child leave the family nest.

With 'Equal Opportunity', a lively ode to women also awaits on 'Emotional Gangster', 'Why You Wanna Make War' is an anthem against violence, which Chubby recorded twice, as an English and a French version. With 'Hoochie Cootchie Man' there is also a rousing Muddy Waters cover.

And so the imposing musician, who with his shaved head, tattooed arms and goatee does not remain unrecognized for long, once again shows his broad spectrum on 'Emotional Gangster'. His stormy, soulful playing has never been as powerful as it is today.
