For over ten years, OUT OF LUCK have guaranteed a harmonious mix of raw rock'n'roll, neo-rockabilly and psychobilly, presenting their successful style on four studio albums and numerous live shows (including with MAD SIN, BATMOBILE, FRENZY, DEMENTED ARE GO, NEKROMANTIX). After their last excellent work “Killer Coupe” (2014), they now throw 13 brand new songs into the ring, in addition to the two hearty arrangements “Maybelline” (CHUCK BERRY) and “All By Myself” (JOHNNY BURNETTE), as usual high-quality original compositions. Although their style places them somewhat between the scenes, their acceptance among rockabillies and psychobillies alike has increased, and no wonder, because “Breakdown In The Desert” is less about identity politics and more about hot and incendiary music that is nevertheless not constantly on the gas pedal. The trio led by singer and double bassist KARL “RASCAL” K. have gone one better with their new album and are certainly not about to break down in the desert.
