Among those who witnessed the first performance by insouciant hillbillies the Okeh Wranglers, on a July day in 1989, was a visiting musician from West Virginia who professed, somewhat ingenously, that the band had 'the right sound'.
Many miles and various incarnations later, the original line up has extended from fiddle, accordion, bass and guitar to a full fledged family band, featuring Pete, vocal, acoustic guitar, Christine, vocal, guitar, fiddle; Louise, vocal, accordion; Pete jnr., guitar, steel guitar, and Sheila, double bass.
