Larry Murray Sweet Country Suite (CD)

(Fallout Records) 11 tracks

As the head of Hearts and Flowers, Larry Murray was at the center of the burgeoning country-rock movement of the late '60s. This classic solo debut, released in 1970, is backed by J.D. Souther, Gib Guilbeau, S w a m p w a t e r, the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band and pedal steel legend Buddy Emmons and makes its CD debut here. Warm, musical and smooth, it's a neglected gem that's sure to be celebrated by fans of his friends the Eagles and the Flying Burrito Brothers.
