Mudhoney was founded in 1989 and developed into a permanent fixture in the American alternative scene. The band moved from Sub Pop to Reprise Records and produced three outstanding albums in the 1990s. Although they did not achieve the notoriety of some of their contemporaries, the band had a strong following and the admiration of their peers during a decade in which the grunge explosion brought American alternative music into the mainstream.
“Real Low Vibe” was compiled in collaboration with the band and showcases this phase of Mudhoney's career, including singles, B-sides and material released on the brilliant ‘Trademark Of Quality’ sampler series. Also included is the promotional-only EP 'On Tour Now', originally released to promote a US tour in 1993.
