Esoteric Recordings is proud to announce the release of an expanded and remastered edition of THE MOVE's classic live recordings from London's legendary Marquee Club in 1968. Of all the groups to emerge in the UK in the latter half of the 1960s, THE MOVE was arguably one of the best. On stage, the group was a force to be reckoned with and had in its ranks Roy Wood, one of the most inventive songwriters of his generation.

On February 27, 1968, THE MOVE held a concert at The Marquee Club with the intention of releasing the concert as a live recording. Due to technical problems, some of the recorded material was deemed unsuitable for release. To correct this problem, another concert was recorded at The Marquee Club on May 5. In the time between the first and the second concert, Chris "Ace" Kefford had left the band, and guitarist Trevor Burton took over the bass guitar. After some repair work on five tracks, a seven-inch EP (at 33 rpm) was released in June 1968 under the title "Something Else from The Move".

In 2007, the original multi-track master tapes were remixed and spliced together to present as complete a record as possible of The Move's Marquee performances. Now those stereo tracks, along with the five mono mixes that made up the original 1968 EP, are gathered together on a CD version of "Something Else from the Move." The release is newly presented in a single digi-pack with illustrated booklet and liner notes.
