It was rock 'n' roll in all but name. Amos Milburn rocked the house for the Los Angeles-based Aladdin label right from the beginning. At his debut session in 1946, Amos Milburn waxed a piledriving Down The Road Apiece, and Amos Milburn kept the late '40s R&B hit parade jumping with Chicken Shack Boogie,Roomin' House Boogie and Sax Shack Boogie.
