After years of silence, the brand-new album “Up From The Ashes” is set to be released in early May. Alongside Ryan, the album features his long-standing bandmates Logan Miles Nix, Artha Meadors and Brant Leeper. The album also features Ryan’s long-time friend and legendary bassist Tony “The Fretless Monster” Franklin (The Firm, Blue Murder, Whitesnake, David Gilmour, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, etc.) as a guest musician on bass for three tracks.

Blues-rock guitarist and singer-songwriter Ryan McGarvey has released his new single “Back to Life”, the first taste of his eagerly awaited comeback album “Up From The Ashes”, which is due out at the end of April. The upcoming release is McGarvey’s first full-length studio album since 2018’s “Heavy Hearted”.

“Back to Life” heralds a new chapter for the guitarist.

“I’m so excited about the impact and power of this new song,” McGarvey told Blues Rock Review. “It’s about never giving up, keeping moving forward and fighting on, even when everything in the world keeps telling you to give up. I hope listeners can draw inspiration from it and apply it to whatever they’re going through themselves.”

Throughout his career, McGarvey has shared the stage with some of the most respected names in the music scene, including Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, B.B. King , Joe Bonamassa and Kenny Wayne Shepherd.
