Rani Arbo has one of the most beautiful and expressive voices in the world of folk music, and on “Some Bright Morning” she uses it to great effect in a diverse program of songs.
The arrangements she puts together with Daisy Mayhem, her mysteriously named trio of accompanists, draw on bluegrass, swing, folk, pop, cajun and jam band influences without being easily pigeonholed.
Some Bright Morning, like most of their albums, is a wonderful mix of traditional songs, covers of their favorite singers and original songs by the band.
