Rani Arbo & Daisy Mayhem Violets Are Blue ( CD)

(Signature Sounds Recordings) 12 tracks

Rani Arbo has one of the most beautiful and expressive voices in the world of folk music, and on “Violets Are Blue” she uses it to great effect in a diverse program of songs.
The arrangements she puts together with Daisy Mayhem, her trio of backing musicians with the mysterious name, draw on bluegrass, swing, folk, pop, Cajun and jam band influences without being easily pigeonholed.
