Canadian folk duo Mama's Broke have spent the last seven years in a near-constant state of transience, touring the transatlantic region. Along the way, their traditional influences from their maritime home in eastern Canada inevitably enriched themselves with ever-changing sounds as they made their way through Ireland to Indonesia. A touch of Americana stands side by side with the lore of Eastern European fiddle tunes and traditional a cappella balladry to meld into an unexpectedly accessible dark folk sound.
