Excellent new album from the man that has travelled the world as an ambassador of the blues. Born in LA he developed an interest in Chiacgo blues at an early age. And he made a name for himself as a serious pool player. When the Californian blues scene dried-out in the early '70s, he moved north to Minneapolis. The city had a vibrant blues scene with many black players that had migrated from the ghettos in Chicago. Today, he's back on the scene in California. This new superb set incorporates everything that's relevant for a great jump blues record: ready-to-play musicians, humor, swing, groove, and technical finesse.
