Trini Lopez

1952 gründete Trini Lopez in Wichita Falls seine erste eigene Kapelle namens The Big Beats.

Weitere US-Spielfilme waren ' - Marriage On The Rocks' ('Dreimal nach Mexiko', 1965), 'The Poppy Is Also A Flower' ('Mohn ist auch eine Blume', 1966), “The Wheels Of Hell' ('Zwei himmlische Schlitzohren', 1982), 'Social Suicide' ('Chili con carne', 1993). Lopez Ist weiter permanent aktiv, gibt Konzerte, veröffentlicht CDs. Zu seinen letzten gehören 'Dance Party' (1998), 'Aylole - Aylola' (2000), 'Dance The Night Away' (2001) und “My Texas Roots' (2002).

Am 12. April 2002 wurde der Entertainer in die Las Vegas Casino Legends Hall Of Fame aufgenommen, im Oktober präsentierte ihm zu Ehren das Vistas Film Festival in Dallas, Texas, eine Retrospektive seiner Kino-Arbeiten.
