John Long Lost & Found

This guy is something special. He was born in 1950 and remained literally unknown until the day of this, his first commercial release. When Fred Kaplan sent me a demo tape a couple of years ago, I was surprised. And I still am. Almost never before I had heard a white man play rural blues in the style of 1920s and '30s theway Long does. He just sounds so real. And he does not re-record so-called classics.
