Das neue, zweite Solo-Album von Aaron Lewis (Staind) heißt 'Sinner'. Gast auf seinem traditionell klingenden Country Album ist Willie Nelson.
Aaron Lewis ist alt genug, um zu wissen, was Country ist. Ähnlich wie Darius Rucker (Hootie & the Blowfish) begann der Leadsänger der US Post-Grunge-Band Staind vor einigen Jahren eine Solo-Karriere als Country-Künstler.
2011 erschien seine von den Medien umjubelte Platin-Single 'Country Boy', die der Sänger und Gitarrist mit den Country-Legenden George Jones und Charlie Daniels aufnahm. Seitdem wandelt Lewis in den Fußstapfen der großen Honky-Tonk-Helden und der klassischen Outlaws: Merle Haggard, Hank Williams Jr. und Willie Nelson, den Lewis als Gast auf dem Titelsong seines zweiten Solo-Albums 'Sinner' gewinnen konnte. Nelsons unverkennbare Stimme passt perfekt in diesen düsteren Swamp-Song, dessen Refrain bekennt: 'I am a sinner to my core, I ask forgiveness and nothing more'.
