Vicky Leandros
Vicky Leandros, geboren am 23. August 1948 als Vassiliki Papathanassiou auf Korfu, ist seit 1965 (Messer, Gabel, Schere, Licht) fester Bestandteil der deutschen Schlagerszene – dank der sorgfältigen Steuerung durch ihren Vater Leo (Komponist, Produzent) meist auf höherem Niveau als das Gros der Konkurrenz. Rund drei Dutzend Hits stehen auf ihrer Haben-Seite, für Luxemburg gewann sie 1972 in Edinburgh mit Après toi den Grand Prix Eurovision. Im Jahr zuvor hatte sie das seltene Kunststück fertiggebracht, die deutsche Cover-Version des George-Harrison-Hits My Sweet Lord als Wo ist er auch in die deutschen Hitlisten zu bringen (Platz 19).
