He developed a strong individual style marked by innovative lap-slide guitar playing and soulful, pleading vocals. He is heavily influenced by the late Chris Whitley. Strongly informed by the blues, his music incorporates elements of soul, rock and folk to create a sound of his own. Excellent production, superb backing by a cast of great players.
