On the album “The Night Tribe”, Jimmy LaFave addresses the question of where he belongs.
Since he feels most comfortable at night and writes all of his songs then, the title was an obvious choice.
Although the lyrics on LaFave's album are not melancholy, the album by the accomplished folk / Americana artist captures a wide variety of moods, including some darker ones.
Critic Dave Marsh once called him “one of America's greatest voices”.
