Trading Places present a reissue of The Knights' self-titled album, originally released in 1967 as a promo-only album. The unlikely setting of The Knights was Northfield Hermon Preparatory School in northwestern Massachusetts, where students formed a school band that recorded a series of albums from the late 1950s through 1968.

The self-titled album, recorded at Boston's Ace Recording Studios in 1967, is a cult classic with genre-bending cover songs, including sensitive renditions of Sam Cooke's "Bring It On Home" and The Drifters' "Up On The Roof," a rocking take on The Spencer Davis Group's "Give Me Some Loving" and a pleasant version of Ben E. King's "Stand By Me." There's also rhythm and blues, heartbreaking ballads, soul and garage rock. Keyboardist Brad Waterman, drummer Marc Solomon and saxophonist Bill Douvris were all longtime members of the group, and this self-titled edition is their rarest release.
