"Soul Insight" was originally released in October 2015 and is the debut of young singer-songwriter Marcus King. The album showcases his stunning mastery of rock, blues, psychedelia, funk, soul, and improvisation - all with a Southern musical accent. It was also the album that brought the then 19-year-old one step closer to his musical destiny.

"I think I knew I was born to play guitar when I was seven," King says. "That's when I got my first electric guitar, and while all the other kids were outside playing, I was inside on the guitar. If I got in trouble at school, my dad told me I could choose between a spanking and having my guitar taken away for a week. I took the spanking."
