A retrospective collection of 29 songs by and featuring the American rock ‘n’ roll singer and songwriter, many of which have never been re-released. Available on CD and LP (with CD) via Rockstar Records.

Born in Atlanta, Georgia, in 1935, Benjamin Joy Eidson passed away at the age of 52 (1988). He met his guitarist “Big” John Taylor while still in school, and Taylor can be heard on many of his recordings. “Little Red Book” features songs from 1957 to 1963, including rockabilly, (teen) rock ’n’ roll, pop, and country tracks. In addition to Benny Joy’s own recordings, the album includes performances of Joy’s songs by colleagues such as Marty Robbins, Darrell McCall, Carl Smith, Ray Smith, and Charlie Rich—all of whom ultimately became more famous than the composer himself.
