After starting out as a street musician in London, James Hunter was discovered by Van Morrison, for whom he worked as a backup singer and guitarist. In the mid/late 1990s, he launched his solo career as an R'n'B musician and soul singer, playing concerts around the world and releasing several albums. In 2006, Hunter was nominated for a Grammy in the Best Traditional Blues Album category for his album People Gonna Talk and an American Music Award for Best New/Emerging Artist. Extensive touring and additional critically acclaimed studio albums followed, The Hard Way (2008), Minute By Minute (2013), Hold On! (2016), Whatever it Takes (2018) and most recently Nick Of Time (2020). With Love is now an amorous best-of from them.
