The later disco singer Loleatta Holloway began singing in a gospel choir as a child. She recorded her first records in the 1960s. In the early 1970s, she finally starred in the musical 'Don't Bother Me, I Can't Cope'.
Her first solo recordings were still heavily influenced by the soul of the time. In 1975, she had her first Top 10 success in the American R&B charts with 'Cry To Me'. The album of the same name and its predecessor 'Loleatta' are included on this 24-track CD.
