This CD brings together 24 recordings by The Highwaymen from 1960 to 1974, providing an extensive overview of the American folk group’s repertoire. At its heart is, of course, their best-known recording, “Michael,” which became a major international success in 1961.

The collection also features numerous traditional folk songs and classics, including “Santiano,” “Cindy, Oh Cindy,” “Big Rock Candy Mountain,” “The Gypsy Rover,” “Cotton Fields,” “Whiskey In The Jar” and “All My Trials.” Also included are “Universal Soldier,” “The First Time (Ever I Saw Your Face),” “The Sinking Of The Reuben James” and “Ramblin’ Boy.”
